Dear All I have more information regarding the simultaneous jobs. The schedule spawns several concurrent jobs at 5 minute intervals and each of these jobs may have about 10 clients. It seems two or three backups start correctly and those that have no data to backup due to it being the weekend are also handled correctly.
The problem seems to be when more than two or three jobs actually want to open a Volume to write data. I thoght it may be the automatic Volume labeling so I had manually created many volumes in each pool - this did not solve the problem Please see below - there is the successful job and I have included the next 2 jobs. Note the successful Job is using Vol Inc0027 and both subsequent jobs want Vol Inc0028. NOTE I have specified Maximum Volume jobs = 1 but the jobs 9378 and 9379 both write to Volume Inc0027 and the system will not grant access to Volume Inc0028 to jobs 9380 or 9381. Should I remove the Max Volume Jobs restriction - I have used it hoping for one volume per client.
