Well, these numbers are not very impressive. Indeed. In my office
environment they would be incredibly high, on the other hand :-)

Probably not in the way that it speeds up each single job, but it might
speed up all the jobs.

I can't answer that for lack of experience with comparable setups using
both databases. What I read in the lists seems to indicate that MySQL is
faster.
But I doubt that the database is the bottleneck in your setup - at least
not if its correctly configured.
