Greetings folks,

I've been looking all over the place to see if anyone else has had this
problem or a resolution to it. Not finding it, I figured it was time to
try the list.

What I've got:

Director version: 1.38.3
FD version (on windows): 1.38.2

The issue is as follows (Please note, that I've just recently come to
bacula after starting a new job. My last job used TSM [Tivoli Storage
Manager] and if I'm doing something wrong / out of the ordinary please
let me know)

I've got a Windows 2003 Cluster (MSCS) that I'm needing to backup.

The cluster is configured thusly:
2 hosts with 2 nodes. The 2 nodes are the cluster node (holds the
quorum drive) and an Exchange node.

I've had the Windows admin install the client thusly:
* Direct install on each host
* With a localized to node storage copy of the FD we've setup new
services on each host using srvany pointing to the respective config
files.
* Each of the clients is setup to start on the dedicated IP for the
host/node
* Each of the clients uses the default port (changing the port has no
effect on the problem that I'm about to describe)

Here's the problem scenario

Entire cluster has shifted to one host so the cluster configuration now
looks like this:
Host A has Node C, Node D
Host B host no nodes

FD running on A, B
FD configured to run in C and D

FD starts and binds correctly in A & B
If C is on A and D is on B, then FD in C & D start and bind correctly
if D then migrates to A as in my above statement then the FD in D starts
but never binds to an address or port.

Stopping the FD in C and then restarting the FD in D allows the FD to
bind to an address and port but now starting C after this exhibits the
exact same problem.

Therefore, I've found that I can not have more than 2 FDs running
correctly at a time on a host.

Any suggestions on getting this working correctly?

Many thanks in advance,
-Andy-
