You were not ridiculed.  I'm sorry you felt that way.  I assure you, 
that was not the intention of the poster.  The intention, and 
correctly so, was to discourage anyone from relying upon the proposed 
solution.

Then you are indeed fortunate, for exercise is beyond the design 
parameters of Bacula.  This does not change the original advice.
