I suggest that you compare bacula-fd.conf in the Windows box to one in a
working server. No doubt you'll find out what's wrong.
I don't think the different versions are the cause of the problem. I use
bacula-fd 1.39.28 (beta) on my Windows servers, dir/sd are 1.38.9 running on a
RHEL 4 box, and they work fine. Regards,

Georger

Assunto: [Bacula-users] win32 bacula-fd.exe does not start

Hi,

i'm trying to backup files from win2003-server. I installed
winbacula-1.38.10.exe. Though I (guess), i only need bacula-fd.exe,
because the server part is sucessfully running for months on freebsd.

I edited the bacula-fd.conf. but i can't start the bacula-fd.exe! After
double-click or start from commandline, it does not apear in the
process-list.

Ignoring that, i tried to connect the client from the server, running on
freebsd-machine. But with no luck: 'Could not connect to File daemon on
192.168.1.237:9102. ERR=Connection refused'.

Any ideas...?

Some more Information:
Server-Version is: backupbsd-dir Version: 1.38.11 (28 June 2006)

I was reading, that differing Version sometimes make problems. Is taht
the reason in my case?

Many thanks in advance,
Rainer.
