I've integrated the old Bacula rescue disk with mkcdrec, which is much better at handling the details of booting across a much larger set of systems. There are a lot of plusses and some minuses of the new system, but at the current time, the implementation is not totally complete. I unfortunately won't be able to work on it until after the 1.40 release, but it is #1 on my list after that (I need it for myself). If you want to work on it in the mean time, great. Just pull down the latest Bacula CVS module called "rescue" and build it following the old instructions. Building it is the same as the old one, which is documented in the manual. However, once it starts booting up, everything is quite different. If you get to the point of actually booting it, let me know, and I'll tell you what needs to be done to complete it.
