I use LVM volumes for domino database and a RunClientBeforeJob to stop
DOMINO, make a snapshot, restart DOMINO and mount the snapshot under
another path. A RunClientAfterJob unmounts the snapshot and delete it.
Obviously in the File section there is the snap dirname.
The scripts are rather specific, but if you need an idea I can send them.

Is there any proper way to backup mail files in lotus domino since just
file
system backup corrupts the mail file.
