Hi, I am right now rebuilding the catalog for old tapes that are marked purged in the database. This seems to take a very long time (5 tapes). My concern is now, that the next scheduled backup job will lead to purging the catalog again.
I found the part in the manual that suggests to set the volstatus using update right after using bscan. But what will happen if bscan is still running and the next backup job is started? In my case bscan is working on tapes while the daily backup goes to disks. So there is no physical reason to prevent running both jobs (bscan and bacula) in parallel. Do I need to do something in advance to prevent purging my job data or is this case handled by bacula? I am using Bacula 1.36 on debian stable. Thanks and cheers, Steph. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more? Need to support web services, security?
