Hi,
I'm trying to use a Travan tape drive with Bacula, the exact model is
here:
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=VLAR-3TNJL3.
My data cassettes are 10/20 GB type, as stated on the above web page the
data format seems to be QIC 3095, but mt -f /dev/nst0 says TR-5:

SCSI 2 tape drive:
File number=0, block number=0, partition=0.
Tape block size 0 bytes. Density code 0x47 (TR-5).
Soft error count since last status=0
General status bits on (41010000):
 BOT ONLINE IM_REP_EN

moreover the tapeinfo -f /dev/nst0 doesn't work as expected:

mtx: Request Sense: Long Report=yes
mtx: Request Sense: Valid Residual=no
mtx: Request Sense: Error Code=0 (Unknown?!)
mtx: Request Sense: Sense Key=No Sense
mtx: Request Sense: FileMark=no
mtx: Request Sense: EOM=no
mtx: Request Sense: ILI=no
mtx: Request Sense: Additional Sense Code = 00
mtx: Request Sense: Additional Sense Qualifier = 00
mtx: Request Sense: BPV=no
mtx: Request Sense: Error in CDB=no
mtx: Request Sense: SKSV=no
INQUIRY Command Failed

I followed the manual about testing the drive, I got the following:
the btape test command run correctly, not a single error came out, every
test performed well;
the btape fill multiple test stopped with an error after trying to
reposition to block 12000 on the first tape, I got an MTFSF error. The
drive at this point was completely blocked, the mt -f /dev/nst0 rewind
command just hang up and the drive led lit.

How can I proceed in testing to understand if have to throw the drive
out of the window or I can use it? :)

Thank you
