I suspected/feared as much. Shouldn't this work as is though? A mount
opens the tape, why should it ask me to mount it again?

Reason I use these is that I can't really trust (unfortunately) my
backup operators to learn to use the console properly. As is, all they
need to do is change the tape.

I guess if it came to killing this problem vs. keeping the directives,
I'd choose the latter anyway.
