Hi, I'm asking this again, maybe someone can help. I'm having problems with a job that backs up an Oracle (8i) DB on a OpenSuSE 10.1 (bacula-fd 1.38.9) The jobs executes the "/etc/init.d/oracle stop" (provided by orarun-1.8-109.15, rpm) with a Client Run Before Job, and "/etc/init.d/oracle start" with a Client Run After Job. The job starts fine, it shuts down the DB, does the full backup, and starts the DB, but the problem is that it never finishes.
This is what "stat dir" says: Running Jobs: JobId Level Name Status ====================================================================== 1133 Full bd-des-full.2006-09-24_04.01.01 has terminated ==== The job finishes (with error) when I restart the FD on the client. I do the same kind of backup of another machine with another Oracle DB that works fine. I do full backups of the same machine but on a restricted directory set (redo-logs) with Client Run Berfore/After scripts to prepare the data and it finishes ok. I've tried upgrading the FD to 1.38.11 and is the same. This is driving me crazy!! Has anyone gone through the same situation?
