Yah, I read that. That is why I made it setuid root. However, I'm currently running bacula-sd as root so I don't know what effect that will have. That might leave the real uid ssimpson (my login) and the effective uid root whereas your su with the dash above may change my real uid. I'll have to try it your way. I didn't want to upgrade to Edgy which isn't released yet but Edgy supports 1.38. Therefore, I grabbed the HEAD. I'm quite willing to help you test this. Let me know when it is in a state that I can get the latest version and I'll try it out. Kudos to Kern and you and others. Looks like a great program.
