Good to hear that my error-spotting still works :-) > but apparently Bacula won't restore XP-zipped files to > linux: > > 24-Aug 13:52 epohost-fd: RestoreFiles.2006-08-24_13.50.06 Error: Win32 GZIP > data > stream not supported on this Client. This is documented. See the "portable" setting in the Fileset definition (IIRC). > I am about to migrate this XP box to linux but I have a serious problem if I > can't restore XP-files to linux. Is there a good reason why Bacula won't > unzip > XP-zipped files? It's got nothing to do with compression, it's simply incompatible file metadata between windows and unix. The upcoming 1.40 version should cure that problem - some time in the 1.39 development this got possible. More detailed information can be found in the bacula-devel mailing list archives, and probably in the release notes in the cvs. Hope that helps, Arno -- IT-Service Lehmann [EMAIL PROTECTED] Arno Lehmann http://www.its-lehmann.de ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
