Hello,

I have the same problem between 32 Bit machines. My backup sever is an old AMD 
with Debian and my working system has a P4 with Suse. I solve the problem by 
mounting a partition of my working system at the backup server and restore 
the datas only with the backup server.

For me it has nothing to do with 32/64 Bits.
