hello, do you have the cacert.pem correctly on the client and server? if you use the sial CA you should copy the file ca-cert.pem in its home dir to the bacula config dir.
In my experience the error means that the cert presented wasnt signed by the CA of the other machine(s), but the error is pretty confusing at best of times.
