Well, I did mention a few lines down that we plan to release a beta version 
for testing -- more correctly I should have said "the first beta version for 
testing" or possibly "the first of many beta versions for testing".

At the current time, I am the only one doing regression testing.  There were a 
number of volunteers for Solaris regression testing, but no one has come back 
to me with any questions so I assume no one is doing it.  It is very roughly 
documented (possibly slightly out of date) in the developer's guide as well 
as in the CVS regress README file.
