Hello Again

Thank you for your advice. When I used your script to determine if
remote host is up or down all previous problems was disappear.

But unhappily it happens once again and now I can see when it happens.

If scheduled job started and remote client brake communication (pull utp
cable or turn off computer) in logs i have something like this:

07-lip 11:03 backup-dir: RunBefore: Host xxxxxxx is up.
07-lip 11:03 backup-dir: Start Backup JobId 232,
Job=finnpowerBackup.2006-07-07_10.45.02
07-lip 11:03 backup-sd: Volume "archiwumPlik3" previously written,
moving to end of data.
07-lip 13:03 backup-dir: Name.2006-07-07_10.45.02 Fatal error: Network
error with FD during Backup: ERR=Połączenie zerwane przez drugą stronę
07-lip 13:03 backup-dir: Name.2006-07-07_10.45.02 Fatal error: No Job
status returned from FD.
07-lip 13:03 backup-dir: Name.2006-07-07_10.45.02 Error: Bacula 1.38.9
(02May06): 07-lip-2006 13:03:34

After that in status command Name is in the last position in director
Terminated Jobs with Cancel status.

But it was 07-07-2006. After that job there is no one more in terminated
jobs, but some of jobs are in running jobs with cancel status and some
with waiting on the max storage jobs.

My question is:

How can I make to enforce director to keep director to not hold jobs on
the max storage jobs then job with problems was canceled (If it Was
canceled current max jobs should be again = 0 because jobs are waiting
and are canceled I think this situation not bring back max jobs to 0
once again).

And that is my last problem :)

Some day I bring tape to host with bacula. So it will be next level of
that game.

best regards
