Do you really mean 51M, not 51G?

DAT72's native capacity is 36GB. Don't ever bank on getting any more
than the native capacity -- the compressed tape capacity is what you'd
get on extremely compressible data (which, come to find, no one seems to
have ;)). If you're backing up the average data/binary files you'd find
on a disk, 51 is not so bad.

On top of this, though, there's a rather obvious problem with the
catalog here. I think you should read the end of the last backup's
messages -- you may find that your tape driver is misconfigured. Did you
run the btape tests? I've seen the error you're seeing below (files
mismatch) for people whose backups don't end perfectly.
