I'm sorry if I am completely off due to my limited understanding of Bacula. I understand that a retention period is tied to the pool where the volume resides as the tape is labelled then its stored in the database. Is it possible to get Bacula to automatically apply different retention periods (based upon the job) after it is recycled/purged and used?
Eg. Tape-1 is used on Job-1 with retention period of 1 week. 1 week later Tape-1 is recycled now. Job-2 with retention period of 1 month requires a tape can I get Bacula to use Tape-1 automatically?
I dont't know if this can be done with the way a retention period being tied to a pool. Am I correct?
If not can anyone point me in the right direction? If so is this something Bacula is planning to support in the near future?
Thank you
Mark
