This is file based storage, right?

It looks as though the file data is corrupt.

First, make sure your disk system is ok - check the system log for disk- 
or filesystem-related errors. Run the proper fle system check program.

Finally, use bls and/or bextract to see if the file can be used. Use 
debug output if the error persists to see if you can further locate the 
error.

Also, you could try to run the storage daemon with the (undocumented?) 
-p switch which should allow it to proceed in some error situations. I 
have never tested this.
