Actually it hasn't even started to actual _recover_ process yet. It's busy building a tree (approx 1.3GB of RAM will be used for that) of what files to restore: >Select the Client (1-21): 6 >Automatically selected FileSet: Sherman >+-------+-------+-----------+-----------------+---------------------+------------+-----------+ >| JobId | Level | JobFiles | JobBytes | StartTime | >VolumeName | StartFile | >+-------+-------+-----------+-----------------+---------------------+------------+-----------+ >| 7,692 | F | 5,895,318 | 302,023,345,343 | 2006-03-31 01:32:58 | LYSD000 > | 42 | >+-------+-------+-----------+-----------------+---------------------+------------+-----------+ >You have selected the following JobId: 7692 > >Building directory tree for JobId 7692 ... +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ *Rolling thumbs* Something is probably incorrect / not right in our setup. Even though it's not running on the fastest of hardware (Sun Ultra60, 2x360MHz CPU with 2GB of RAM) it is ridiculous that 5 million files should take this long to handle... (Probably something wrong with the indexes, which is why I sent the mail to the list). As soon as I have recovered those 302GB/5 million files I'll be able to do some more experimentation... - Peter > The reason why I ask is because I've not been able to find, over days of > searching, any sort of benchmarks for Bacula preforming any kind of > task.
