Not so simple under Win32, where a move/rename won't work from the
command prompt if the file is marked 'system' (or maybe 'hidden').
Probably other cases where it won't work too.

A standard Linux bare metal restore by definition shouldn't have this
problem, as you are restoring the system to exactly the way it was
before. Even if the hardware is different, the filesystem structure
should be identical.
