So it is fixed as of Sid's state yesterday.
The "official" packages are on their way to unstable... but i will
upload 1.38.9 as soon as i get some success/fail reports.

But... i don't have much bandwidth and i can't guarantee that the
packages will function perfectly, either (but seem to work in my initial
tests)
