Hi,
we recently had to perform a complete restore of around 150GB with 1.5
mio files and noticed that bacula (1.38.5) spends A LOT of time (several
hours) after I typed 'done' in the file selection dialog and until I could
define the restore parameters.
Could any of those in the know please enlighten us on what the director
is actually doing during these hours ? It's not that our server is
slow or small, on the contrary ! Comparing with other restores, my
inpression was that the wait time scales non-linearily with the
number of files, so some sort of sorting may be going on.
Regards,
N. Paschedag
