I don't do anything as complicated as you are doing, so I'm not sure, but it 
seems to me that you can define a name rather than an IP address that is used 
and that is correctly resolved to an IP address on the Director and each 
Client either with DNS or with a hosts file.

The Director sends what *you* put at the SD address.
