Ok, I have set the heartbeat interval to 5 seconds on both file daemon
and storage daemon.
When doing a large backup to tape, the job will die with an error as
soon as the data is finished copying from the client. If spooling is
turned on, it will die before despooling data to the tape drive. If
spooling is turned off, it will write all of the data to the tape drive
and still die.
I'm pretty new to bacula, but would appreciate any input.
For the record:
Bacula version is 1.38-8 installed via the Source RPM
Bacula Server OS is Fedora Core 4
Client OS is also Fedora Core 4
Tape drive is a Quantum LTO autochanger with 16 slots (I have it set
with 15 tapes and a cleaning tape). The drive is an HP Ultrium 2.
I would suspect routers, but both server and client are on the same subnet.
The only other intersting tidbit, is that I have another backup that
goes to tape. It backs up about 550GB of data over about 18 hours and
it works perfectly. That particula client is on a different subnet.
The only thing that has changed recently is that I have updated from
1.38-5 to 1.38-5.
Any help or advice would be most appreciated.
