Hello, Restoring fails - apparently only on restore jobs involving some backup jobs. That means I can restore many things from many clients, but unfortunately not what is needed now.
I have found, on one client, I can restore from some backup jobs, but not from others I am on 1.38.0 - if upgrade is only possible solution is it possible to upgrade to a version not demanding all fd and db upgrade? Error messages are: 02-May 12:02 adm-backup-dir: Start Restore Job RestoreFiles.2006-05-02_12.02.49 02-May 12:02 adm-backup-sd: RestoreFiles.2006-05-02_12.02.49 Fatal error: No Volume names found for restore. 02-May 13:54 samba-fd: RestoreFiles.2006-05-02_12.02.49 Fatal error: job.c:1596 Bad response to Read Data command. Wanted 3000 OK data , got 3000 error Then after that - all subsequent restore jobs fail with this message until SD is restarted: 02-May 12:22 adm-backup-sd: Job RestoreFiles.2006-05-02_12.22.35 waiting to reserve a device. And appearing thus in status dir command: 770 RestoreFiles.2006-05-02_12.22.35 is waiting on Storage File I have tried to look at the bugs page but found nothing I have noticed the following oddities: Everytime the status dir command is issued, there are the following messages: 02-May 12:24 adm-backup-dir: Pruning oldest volume "Full-0001" 02-May 12:24 adm-backup-dir: Pruning oldest volume "Samba-0001" And in the list of jobs for a client the full backups get listed three times for every virtual tape: 592 | F | 227,852 | 26,834,440,501 | 2006-04-03 02:05:08 | Full-0059 | 0 | 592 | F | 227,852 | 26,834,440,501 | 2006-04-03 02:05:08 | Full-0059 | 0 | 592 | F | 227,852 | 26,834,440,501 | 2006-04-03 02:05:08 | Full-0059 | 0 | I would appreciate any help on where to go from here, I think there were something like it on the mailing list, but Gmane is down for searching the archives.
