Hi, I run a lot of jobs in parallel (with spooling) and a few of them (different ones every day) usually fail with this message from the client daemons:
Fatal error: Bad response from stored to open command It seems to happen after elapsing of the job's MaxRunTime or MaxWaitTime and the jobs don't have any destination volume assigned by the storage daemon - which is strange. When I run the job manually immediately after the failure, it works well. Does anyone know what the message really means and where should I look for a cause of the problem? Martin The whole job output looks like this: 21-Apr 22:00 Director: Start Backup JobId 1960, Job=b1--backup.2006-04-21_22.00.15 22-Apr 20:00 Client: b1--backup.2006-04-21_22.00.15 Fatal error: Bad response from stored to open command 22-Apr 20:00 Director: Bacula 1.38.8 (14Apr06): 22-Apr-2006 20:00:52 JobId: 1960 Job: b1--backup.2006-04-21_22.00.15 Backup Level: Differential, since=2006-04-15 22:00:16 Client: "b1" i386-portbld-freebsd4.11,freebsd,4.11-RELEASE-p11 FileSet: "b1" 2006-04-06 22:00:16 Pool: "Daily" Storage: "Storage-1-Tape-Library-1" Scheduled time: 21-Apr-2006 22:00:14 Start time: 21-Apr-2006 22:00:16 End time: 22-Apr-2006 20:00:52 Elapsed time: 22 hours 36 secs Priority: 10 FD Files Written: 0 SD Files Written: 0 FD Bytes Written: 0 (0 B) SD Bytes Written: 0 (0 B) Rate: 0.0 KB/s Software Compression: None Volume name(s): Volume Session Id: 16 Volume Session Time: 1145634807 Last Volume Bytes: 118,571,094,766 (118.5 GB) Non-fatal FD errors: 0 SD Errors: 0 FD termination status: Canceled SD termination status: Error Termination: Backup Canceled ------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
