Hello, This is to let you know that I have released Bacula version 1.38.7 source tar file to the Bacula section of Source Forge. This release has only two changes: 1. it fixes a path in the bacula start/stop script. 2. It fixes a failure of the FD on Windows 2003 systems. In general there is no need to upgrade if you are running 1.38.6 unless you had problems with Win 2003.
Scott is working on the rpms so they should follow shortly (in fact the SuSE 10 rpms for 1.38.6 with the start/stop script patch are already available). In addition, I have released a new version of the documentation, where I am pleased to say that there is significant progress in the French translation as well as the German translation. (as a separate project, there is also a French translation of the daemon messages in progress). In case you didn't previously notice, there is also a new version of the depkgs release, which contains slightly newer versions of SQLite and SQLite 3. Finally, there is a new release (version 1.8.3) of the rescue package, which contains some minor bug fixes to the Linux CDROM as well as experimental code for remastering the Knoppix CD. The remastering adds the Bacula rescue files to the CD giving you the best of Knoppix and the Bacula CDs -- thanks to Mikael Kermorgant for this contribution. -- Best regards, Kern ("> /\ V_V Changes since 1.38.6: - Remove timed wait for VSS on Win2K3 as it is not yet implemented. - Correct bacula.in script to reference bacula-ctl-xx in the sysconfig directory rather than the bin directory. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking scripting language that extends applications into web and mobile media.
