Hello, You are on the right track, but I recommend you actually read the section you cite below, and follow it line by line.
I see no where that the first step is to do "make bacula". Somehow you have leaped into the middle of everything without even doing the configure. Doing "make bacula" isn't even necessary if you do "make all" (after having configured the directory).
