Greetings!

I sent two messages to this list last Saturday, and I haven't
received any replies on either message. The messages were sent after I
tried to upgrade my bacula. However, neither of those two messages were
*critical* in nature.

This, third message, I'm afraid I must call critical.

I was going to recompile my bacula, anyway, so last weekend, I
downloaded the most recent version to compile. (And, I still don't have
wx-console.) I compiled new bacula daemons, and they overwrote my old
ones.

When I try to start up my (newer) bacula daemons, here is what I get:

<<>>

I suspect this is a database (MySQL) error. Incidentally, I was
getting a different error before I ran make_bacula_tables.

And, now, the *STUPID* thing I did. <sigh> I don't have five
minutes in a typical week where something is not screaming for my
attention. (At least, right now. I look forward to a sign that things
may slow down just a bit... soon.) That's no real excuse, but I have
actually done more than one thing on my home computer, in recent months,
because I thought it would save me time. And, it wound up seriously
interferring with things! :-(

I did not change the directory to which the make of my newer bacula
compiled/installed to. I did not make any copies of my bacula daemons, as
they existed, before.

So, I do not currently have a copy of the bacula daemons I've been
successfully using, on my hard disk.

And, I can't use bacula, now, to restore the perfectly good copies of
them that I have, on my two USB hard disks! :-/ <sigh>

If someone can give me any tips on what to do, I'd appreciate your
assistance.

And, I will deserve it if you scold me for doing things because I
think they will save me time. <sigh> :-)

     Thank you.

     Barry
