My name is Zakai and I have been on this list for a month. I just bought a Lacie 500GB usb external hardrive and it worked for a day. It has stopped working and I am using Debian 3.1. Does anyone use this type of hardrive for backup? How is it working for you? Is updating the kernel a good idea for usb usage? I am using kernel 2.6.8-2-386 or Debian stock kernel.
