Thanks, though unfortunately it looks like gdb couldn't get useful backtraces.

Did you build this bacula yourself?  If you did, then was the -g option passed
to gcc when it was compiling?  There might also be a problem with gdb, since
many of the distros ship with out-of-date versions of this.

If it was a prebuild Bacula, then I think you will need to build it from the
source yourself to ensure that -g is use (it happens by default for me with a
configure-based build).
