Dear Arno
I was able to restore the files to their original location ie D:\Data . My
concern was overwriting files etc so I renamed the current D:\Data folder
C:\Dataxx
Could anyone clarify that I should chance D:\Data in my FileSet to D:/Data
as I would like to do restores to other locations.
As stated in the manual, Bacula expects forward slashes as path
separators in all cases, i.e. windows' backslash is not going to work.
With my prior attempts a folder D was created ii it had problem with
/D/\Data/ folder naming/creating.
Yup, that's just what will happen :-)
Remember that Bacula is, even if running un windows, basically a unix
program.
Arno
I have to admit my restore test were to simple where the FileSet was D: I
will test the D:/Data name in the FileSet.
Thanks to everyone

Dear All
Could you help I am getting an error of the type below when attempting

..\findlib\../../findlib/create_file.c:182 Could not create

The server is running bacula-1.38.5 and the restore request run on the
server. Could not find winbacula-1.38.5
Any ideas?
It seems the drive D:\Data is cause of the problem. Did I botch the
config
on the server ie
Have you tried a restore location ("where" in the final restoration
menu) of, for example, c:/tmp/bacula-restores ? I could imagine that
windows doesn't like paths without a drive letter.
Arno
FileSet {
Name = "water32-dir"
Include {
Options {
signature = MD5
}
File = D:\Data
}
Thanks
