how to fix these error messages and i am still getting the

NightlySavemain2.2006-03-03_11.37.12 is waiting for an appendable Volume
but the process is related to director only

I suppose bacula has no permission to write into its working directory.
Check the permissions and the user the DIR runs as.

How did you install Bacula? From source or using a package?

Well, the DIR thinks there's another DIR running. Check if the given PID
refers to a bacula-dir process.
