I should have mentioned it before (I thought I did) but I've tried that venue also: I tried specifying 127.0.0.1 in the Director and reverse forwarded 9103 to 127.0.0.1:9103 instead of localhost:9103 (ditto with 9101). All to no avail. Again, if I reverseforward those ports to either localhost:22 or 127.0.0.1:22 I can very nicely ssh back in my SD server from the DOS prompt... My best guess would be putting a Cygwin-specific error case in the error handling code in bnet.c / checking the bnet_open() "erratic" behaviour under Cygwin....Unfortunately I do not have the resources to do that (replicate a Cygwin devel environement, test bnet_open(), trace that code and treat that special case in bnet.c in a special manner under Cygwin, compile the whole lot, etc....) Anyway, on a more practical note: Can you please specify which version of winbacula did you use when you managed in 127.0.0.1 ? Any other tricks I am missing on the Windows side ?
