I'm working on finalizing my setup of bacula. I have all of my clients appearing to backup successfully. Each client is provided with an individual storage device (I'm backing up to files broken out by client directories) so that I can have multiple clients backing up at the same time.
When I attempted to restore files today, the restore job failed. Looking at the job definition, I can see that the restore job definition is using the standard Storage = File and the Pool = Default. The restore job fails because it then looks in the wrong place for the volume when it attempts to restore a file. My question is, do I need to define separate restore jobs for each server to match up the storage directives within the backup jobs? Should I just write all of my volumes to a common Storage area? The example in the Bacula documentation where the second client is added doesn't show the restore job defined at all. Thanks in advance. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc. Do you grep through log files for problems? Stop!
