Yes it's a bug, there was a thread last autumn. I have nail as standard
mailer on my system so I am using this setup:
mailcommand = "/usr/bin/mail -h localhost -r \"\(Bacula\) %r\" -s
\"Bacula: %t %e of %c %l\" %r"
operatorcommand = "/usr/bin/mail -h localhost -r \"\(Bacula\) %r\" -s
\"Bacula: Intervention needed for %j\" %r"
It works exactly as bsmtp so perhaps you give it a try.
