Just to throw my hat into the ring, I'm more or less in the same position here.
I don't have enough time or experience to really take up a lead role, but I
have pretty good tech writing skills (at a minimum, they're better than my
C/C++!) and would certainly like to contribute back after bacula saved my bacon
twice already this month.
