Hello,

I hope you all had a pleasant Christmas and I wish you a great New Year.

I will be off-line from this evening (27 December) until late the 3rd of
January 2006 when I return from vacation in Vienna.

If you have problems with 1.38.2, you might want to try the 1.38.3 beta
release that is on Source Forge. I consider it as stable or better than
1.38.2, and it is what I am running in production here.

On my return from vaction, barring any major problems with the 1.38.3 beta
version, I will release it with one additional minor fix that I have made to
the Win32 FD (permit only one VSS job at a time).

Following the release of 1.38.3, I will work for a week or so on version
1.38.4, where I plan a few additional enhancements.
- Implement status that shows why a job is being held in reserve, or
rather why none of the drives are suitable. This is important for
  support.
- Implement a way to disable a drive (so you can use the second
drive of an autochanger, and the first one will not be used or
even defined). I need this here.
- Implement code that makes the Dir aware that a Storage device is an
autochanger (so the user doesn't need to use the Autochanger = yes
directive). The requirment for the Autochanger=yes in the Director annoys
  me.
