All- Thanks to the help from several listers, I've gotten my autochanger working and swapping tapes for me. This morning though, my bacula-director crashed out on me while trying to back up my Redhat 6.2 server (it's totally stable with the 7 other clients I have). When I tried to backup the next server, I got the following error:
09-Dec 10:24 backup-dir: Start Backup JobId 63, Job=backup.smartbrief.com.2005-12-09_10.24.43 09-Dec 10:24 backup-sd: 3301 Issuing autochanger "loaded drive 0" command. 09-Dec 10:24 backup-sd: 3302 Autochanger "loaded drive 0", result is Slot 2. 09-Dec 10:24 backup-sd: Volume "A0000002" previously written, moving to end of data. 09-Dec 10:24 backup-sd: backup.smartbrief.com.2005-12-09_10.24.43 Error: I canot write on Volume "A0000002" because: The number of files mismatch! Volume=89 Catalog=87 09-Dec 10:24 backup-sd: Marking Volume "A0000002" in Error in Catalog. My question is should I go into the catalog and update the #files to match the tape count? Will this screw up the tape? Thanks, Zack ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc. Do you grep through log files for problems? Stop!
