IMHO this is a good idea. And not just because I do it the same way. :) On 
tape it usually does not make sense to use software-compression. When 
storing files on (hard)disk software compression (GZIP) is really helpful 
to save space. The only way to seperate this is two file sets with 
different "Compression" options.
