I do not believe that the label barcode works in that version of Bacula. I have the same hardware (The VXA) running Fedora and that has never worked for me. I am able to label the tapes and all that jazz, but I have to add them in before I can to an update slots.
Basically I use add to add the volumes to the database, then when I physically add them to the library, the system already knows about them and will label them (if need be) and move on. Someone correct me if I am wrong... - Thank you, Grant Della Vecchia System Administrator ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- AIS Media, Inc. 7000 Central Parkway, Suite 1700 Atlanta, GA 30328 Tel: 770.350.7998 | Fax: 770.350.9409 URL: www.aismedia.com | Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------ -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Zachariah Mully Sent: Wednesday, November 30, 2005 11:28 AM To: bacula-users@lists.sourceforge.net Subject: [Bacula-users] Problems with VXA2 1x10 and Bacula 1.36 Hello all- I am new on the list, and I'm in the process of replacing a single DDS4/Arkeia system with a new VXA2 1x10 autoloader. The dedicated backup box is running Debian-3.1 with Bacula 1.36 and sqllite. The autoloader passes all the tests described in the manual with flying colors, but when go to label the tapes with the #label barcode command, it throws an error. The result is the same regardless if the drive is loaded with a tape or not. I'm at a bit of a loss as to why it's calling "loaded drive 0"... does that check the drive status?
