You might see what you can do about running bacula-fd in the "Backup 
Operators" group.  The description for the group says "Backup Operators can 
override security restrictions for the sole purpose of backing up or 
restoring files."  Maybe create a "BackupUser," add that user to the "Backup 
Operators" group and run it as that user.  Haven't tried it...just an idea.
