two choices:
It could be either. Solaris 10 comes with full GNU kit as an optional
install.
Sun's own compilers are an added-cost option. My pick is that CPP isn't
installed.
I'm assuming patchpro isin't installed - it should be.
All the missing GNU items can be installed off Solaris 10 media and then
patchpro used to bring the system up to date.
