There is a baculanovss.mak that Martin created that may allow you to build a non-VSS version. Simply checkout or export the current CVS using the following tag: -r Branch-1_38_0, then copy src/win32/baculafd/baculanovss.mak into src/win32/baculafd/baculafd.mak and follow the instructions in the src/win32/README.win32 file. If you don't have VC++ 2003 (version 7.1), you might look at README.vc8, which describes how to build with the free Microsoft VC++ compiler ... It isn't so easy to build a Win32 Bacula, but besides myself at least 3 or 4 other people have done it, so it is possible ... > > Thanks again. > > Karl > > Kern Sibbald wrote: > > I'd reboot the machine to be sure, but it is also possible, even though > > we tried, that we no longer properly support Win98 -- it isn't so easy > > with all the new VSS code we have added.
