Any help much appreciated, since I am truly puzzled.

Have you tried bscanning the tapes in question into the catalog, and then restoring to a windows machine?

Arno

This is probably the best way to go, since the directory seems to have purged the Job. I found out the job-id by running your bscanning example and tested it against bacula-dir with a restore:

"You have selected the following JobId: 3868
Unable to get Job record for JobId=3868: ERR=sql_get.c:282 No Job found for JobId 3868"

I will test this aproach tonight (the rewind/search/read times are killing me, three days without regular backups now, makes me consider buing a second drive.).

Thanks Arno.
