I hope someone can help me with my customer configuration.
I tried all the possible switches to handle my LTO config.
The LTO is a single tape device, with manual substituion (no library).
Day by day I am never sure the software will have done its job correctly, and the customer is
getting really angry....
There are days when everything goes fine (1 or 2 maybe).
Then sometimes the software decides there is no appendable media, when it's not the case.
Then, in the morning, I see bacula waiting for appendable volume.
So I do "umount" and manual "mount" and the job restarts correctly. WHY?!?!?!
Then, there may be the case that the user place the wrong tape on the wrong day, so bacula
waits for the correct volume. This is fine, but.....I want jobs to be canceled after some time! If not, the next day I will have jobs waiting forever, and no backup....
I think I placed the correct flags and timings on volumes for the jobs to be canceled after some wait time.
But it is not always done.
I have one Volume/Pool per day.
