As I notice .. you a trying to say that multsession disk doesnt work very well yet.

Hmm. It works ok as long as you put enough data onto disk and have no problems at the end. And, of course, recognizing the size of the disk.

For now what I need is when a media is full, that it be moved to a DVD-R. In my Pool a defined the parameter Maximum Volume Bytes = 4831838248, so I think this will fit a 4.5GB DVD with a little margin of .2 GB.

If dvd-freespace works correctly there's no need to define a volume size. Even better, in case you buy disks with less space everything still works :-)

When the media gets full if I want to keep my backups in CD I have manually move the files to my DVD.

That's the part I don't understand...

How do I correctly configure my storage daemon to works with a dvd drive, once that seems the parameter "RequiresMount" and "maxpartsize" doens not work on my sd. I'm using bacula 1.36.
Wich version of bacula supports these parameters in sd daemon?

To my knowledge, you need the 1.37 version - 1.37.40 is current, or try the cvs HEAD.

Good luck getting DVDs to work ;-) You might want to read my (long-winded) posts concerning this - I found it not to be as simple as using disk volumes or tapes.

Thanks
