Hi,I´m testing the last version of your software (1.36.3), but I´m facing difficulties to work with my DLT drive (a powervault model on a Dell Poweredge server).
I could install the software, can make backups to /tmp, following your example, but when I try to send data to my tape, no action. I runned the btape test command and it is working! When I try to run the fill command, the program informs the following:
23-Sep 10:52 btape: btape Warning: Requested Volume "TestVolume1" on /dev/nst0 is not a Bacula labeled Volume, because: ERR=block.c:793 Read zero bytes at 0:0 on device /dev/nst0.
Mount blank Volume on device /dev/nst0 and press return when ready:Do I need to erase (mt -f /dev/nst0 erase) each tape used with other programs, like tar???
After running btape test and fill commands (Actually I forced fill after the previous message), I enabled bacula (bacula start), but when trying command status storage, bacula is presenting this error message:
23-Sep 11:18 iaibr3-dir: Start Backup JobId 1, Job=Client1.2005-09-23_11.18.50 23-Sep 11:18 iaibr3-sd: Failed command: use device=/dev/nst0 media_type=DLT8000 pool_name=Default pool_type=Backup

Do you have some tip/suggestion? Thanks for any information. Marcelo PS: My OS is Redhat Enterprise 3.0.
